You can transport your model jet boxes to Israel in one of the following ways:

1. By bringing the Boxes with you if you fly with EL AL

2. By sending the Boxes before you arrive

Make sure you do not send any fuel, gas or oil with your model jets in the boxes. You will be able to purchase all this at the Air Field.

1. Fly EL AL and bring your model airplane with you

Order the flight tickets through EL AL:
An EL AL representative will add a special notation to your PNR (passenger name record) which will appear on your flight ticket, authorizing carriage of the model airplane case as your personal luggage.
 
Please make sure this notification appears on your ticket.
 
The following case size is acceptable: 2.8m X 0.7m X0.9m
 
Please make sure your model plane case conforms to this size and inform us if your case exceeds the permitted size by more than 10%.
 
Arrive at the EL AL counter with your model plane case.
 
You will be charged for the case and luggage as follows:
 

Free Of Charge for Every Team Member:

* Size Boxes Limited to the Maximum Acceptable Size

For each additional Kg. you will be charged US $5.00

Payment is at the EL AL check-in counter at the airport

Please inform us of your departure and arrival dates at least 2 months in advance.

Make sure you do not send any fuel, gas  or oil with your model jets in the boxes. You will be able to purchase all this at the Air Field.

Important:

Please check your country of origin’s customs regulations regarding returning with the model boxes from Israel.

Before leaving, don’t forget to inform your local Customs Authority that you will be coming back with the boxes.

Israeli Customs clearance:

After collecting the boxes and your luggage, you will need to pass through the Red Line at Customs, and give them the specific forms needed .

Before leaving your country, you will usually be required to fill out certain forms like the Carnet Form, declaring that these are your models and that you will be returning with them.

For your convenience, we will publish the specific forms at a later stage.

2. If you want to send your boxes separately and independently:

We will publish the address and recipient information for where to send your boxes to in Israel.

In addition to your local customs requirements, you will need to fill out a special form which you can download from our Website and attach to the shipment as the invoice.
(The form will be available later on)

After arrival at the Israeli Port, the boxes need to be cleared by customs, released, and then picked up from the airport warehouse to be taken to the Competition Site.
(We can pick them up for you at a reasonable extra charge)

If you send boxes by a shipper of your own choice, please make sure that they can also take care of the customs release procedure in Israel, and transportation of the boxes to the site.

Your shipper may also contact us and we will arrange to pick the boxes up from them and deliver them to the site.

If you wish, you can use our local customs clearance company who will take care of the boxes immediately after they land in Israel, and deliver them to the site.

You can send boxes by your self with your incoming shipper
or you can use our local shipping company.
